Blogging is not just about fun and games. Most of us take it very seriously and we, bloggers see it as a competition. How do we know when we’re losing? It’s the number of followers you lose. When you think you’re inferior.
I’m slightly disappointed that people compare themselves to other people. We aren’t the same, we have different voices therefore we have different kinds of followers. Hey, even if we lose those followers, it doesn’t mean the other is any better than you. That followers you lost is a sign that there is something you lack and what you’re lacking is something you have to earn for yourself or it might have been a technical error. It depends on the situation, but let’s talk in general. I don’t want my words to sound brutal, but that is reality. You’ll find joy in blogging once you stop comparing yourself to other people.
What’s most important in your blog is your own ORGANIC followers. Not your giveaway followers because those are the ones you are going to lose eventually.
Be a VOICE not an ECHO
You have a unique voice even if you only have 20 organic followers. You appeal to them and that should be enough for you to blog. (Hitler had 3 million followers while Jesus only had 12) You don’t get to decide who follows you and you don’t need to sulk when you lose those followers. Whose lost is it? Yours or theirs?
